Welcome to the kind-of-long-awaited Space Concert!
We began rehearsals for it in March 2020, so we didn't make it very far before everything was cancelled for obvious reasons. Since then, it has been a strange and mildly nerve-wracking journey of trying to do what we love while keeping everything as safe as possible. Three years since our last formal concert, here we are.

The themes of MADS concerts have been variably stretched to encompass repertoire, but today's concert is a pretty straightforward collection. Like so many humans before and after him, Galileo dreamed of space.

This concert highlights some of the best parts of both madrigals and space – the love, the suffering, the sacrifice, the excitement, the feeling of connection with people centuries ago, the comedy, and of course the polyphony. That last part might not have been about space, per se, but given the infinite mystery of our cosmos, who's to say?
